Why is Steve Jobs considered a hero and Bill Gates a villain (for their technological activities)?

Answer by Abhishek Tyagi:

If there were super heroes in real life, Bill Gates would still be a better hero than them (comparing with Steve Jobs is pointless).

Tell me what would have happened if Bill Gates decided to block any pirated version of Windows (Microsoft can do that the moment you connect to internet).

Most of the Asian countries progressed due to Bill Gates because he decided to let them use pirated versions of Windows as hardly anyone could afford it at that time (90s). That's around billions in losses just because countries that were not even his concern could progress (that's real humanity my friend). I bet Steve Jobs would never do that.

Edit 1: I gave my last exam of B.Tech on the day I wrote this answer. Such an overwhelming response. Thanks for my graduation gift 😀

Edit 2: You can call it a strategy or anything else. Every coin has two faces. It depend on you how you look at it. It might be strategy (let's assume it was) still billions benefited from it.

Just one more clarification I don't hate Steve Jobs. I admire him. I'm even currently reading his biography. He was a sheer genius. But that's not the point of my answer.
